BENEATH THE SKY 

I held her hand,
beneath the sky.
It felt so beautiful,
I couldn’t hide.

I was smiling—
the feeling was different,
comforting,
yet somehow exhilarating.

I had waited for her,
for a long, long time.
Now she was here,
and soon she’d be mine.

I promised myself
to be with her always,
to support her and hold her
whenever she stumbles.

Her dreams are now mine—
she will have wings to fly.
I will love her always,
in ways she’s never imagined.

I know it’s daunting for her,
thinking of this new journey.
But I know it’s destiny,
and it’s going to be beautiful.
