HEALTH IS WEALTH – 5 TIPS FOR A HEALTHY LIFE

Health is Wealth.

health-is-wealth

We all have been reading this statement since our childhood. But I must say, we all never really took these words seriously. I was fortunate to enjoy good health without much effort, thanks to my parent’s care and God’s blessing.

However, two years ago, life took an unexpected turn. Stress crept in, and I neglected myself, which affected my health significantly. This phase taught me the importance of nurturing my well-being. I couldn’t eat, sleep and rest during that difficult phase, which left a lasting impact on my health.

I am pointing this out because it created an adverse effect on my health. My health suffered a lot. And I can feel that in that moment. I was more susceptible to diseases. My immunity was lacking. I was not as strong I used to be.

I must tell you, no matter what you want to achieve in your life, your health is the biggest gift, biggest tool, you can have.

If you are healthy you can do anything, because you have plenty of energy to survive any setback you face. Today, I am more careful about what I eat, and the time I put to sleep and about so many things I never cared earlier.

I am really thankful to God, my eyes were open before things got worse. It’s not that I am suffering from something big, it’s just that I don’t like to visit doctors even for a smaller reason. And I don’t like to take medicines. And I think nobody likes it either.

Yeah, its true, nobody can go against God’s will, things which are meant to happen will happen, but at least we can try from our side. From my experience, there are a few basic things that one must follow in their life on a regular basis :

Eat good food

Your diet is crucial for your health and well-being. Avoid relying on instant noodles like Maggie or Yippee and include fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole grains in your meals. Drink milk regularly for essential nutrients and limit tea and coffee, opting for green tea instead.

A balanced diet not only boosts your immunity and energy but also reflects on your skin, hair, and overall vitality. Prioritize nutritious food- it’s a simple yet powerful way to support your health, especially during stressful times.

Drink plenty of water

Track your daily water intake and aim for at least 12 glasses a day. Staying hydrated is essential prevent health issues like kidney stones and infections, which can cause severe pain and discomfort.

Adequate hydration offers numerous health benefits, from boosting energy levels to improving digestion and overall well-being. Make water your best friend-it’s one of the simplest and most effective ways to maintain good health.

Better posture

If you are a person who spends hours on you laptop, invest in a proper table and chair. This simple change can boost your productivity and help maintain good posture. Avoid working with your laptop placed on your lap-it might feel convenient now, but it can lead to a long-term back pain as your body ages.

Good posture is crucial. Sit straight, walk tall, and stand upright-simple habits we learned as kids but often forget to follow. I learned this the hard way when I experienced severe back pain for months. Yoga helped me recover, but I wouldn’t wish that phase on anyone.

Take care of your posture daily to avoid discomfort and ensure a healthier, pain-free future. It’s a small effort with big benefits!

Exercise : Keep your body active

Dedicate at least 15-30 minutes daily to exercise. Whether it’s hitting the gym, practicing yoga, or simply going for a walk, physical activity keeps your body strong and your mind fresh. Think of it as an essential task, just like work. If you’re busy, exercise right after work- consider it an extra 30 minutes of effort for a healthier you.

Having a Good Night sleep

A good night’s sleep is invaluable. Stress can disrupt your sleep, but techniques like focusing on breathing can help. Sleep deprivation impacts your energy, productivity, and mental clarity. Aim for at least 6 hours of rest every night to recharge your body and mind.

Take rest

In our busy lives, we often neglect time for ourselves. Make it a habit to pause and enjoy your activities you love-reading, meditating, exercising or simply relaxing. It’s your time relaxes and refocus. Without rest, you can’t give your best to anything.

Summary

Your health is the most valuable asset. Even minor health issues can disrupt your day slow you down. Take care of yourself through exercise, rest and proper sleep. These simples steps ensure a longer, healthier and happier life.
