‘Lafz’ poem reflects a phase where words disappear and even emotions fall silent. It’s about feeling so numb that even the desire to search for light fades. The soul finds comfort in silence – as if even unspoken pain has grown tired. Maybe it’s peace, maybe it’s surrender. But the poet says,” I’ve fallen in love with silence, and my words… they’re finally resting quietly somewhere deep in my heart.”
लफ़्ज़
लफ़्ज़ कहीं खो गए हैं शायद,
दिल से कोई आवाज़ भी,
नहीं आती है अब I
एक अजीब सी खामोशी है,
कोई ख़्वाहिश जैसी बाकी,
नहीं रही है अब I
ये कैसा मोड़ है ज़िन्दगी का,
जहां अंधेरा है हर तरफ़ I
और रोशनी की तलाश,
की चाहत भी नहीं है I
ख़ामोशी से मोहब्बत हो गई है शायद,
लफ़्ज़ मुतमइन हैं,
दिल के किसी कोने में I
