Inspirational Poem in English- The Whisper from the Heart

POEM-THE WHISPER

There was darkness all around,
nothing but silence, not a sound.
Then I heard a whispered plea,
“Follow me, I'll set you free.”
 
I got scared for a while,
from where the voice came.
My heartbeat was so strong,
the voice that I heard was 
weak and lame.

I got stuck for sometime,
The sound that I heard was only mine.
It guided me gently through the night,
Whispering softly, "It'll be alright."

I was trapped in a quag, sinking low,
My mind was helpless, with nowhere to go.
So I followed my heart, its steady shout,
Which gave me hope, "there’s a way out."

I followed it blindly, through dark and light,
Though I stumbled and fell in the quiet night.
I rose again, kept moving strong,
ignoring the pain that lingered long.
 
There was a light, soft and bright,
I saw my shadow in its sight.
The chirping bird, the skies so wide,
The lovely meadows on every side.
 
It was such a delightful scene,
washed away all my pain.
Today was better than yesterday,
And I couldn't believe that it came.
 
The whisper from my heart,
was the signal of the God.
Telling me that he is with me,
I just have to walk.
 
Every night is followed by the daylight,
Though, today it is far from your sight.
No matter how dark the night may seem,
The sunshine will always start to beam.
