Poem- The Heartbreak Lane
I saw her
walking down the lane.
She looked pretty
but her eyes looked
in pain.
I stopped my car.
Gazed at her from my window.
She didn't notice
that my eyes were on her,
holding my heartbeat
I gazed at her.
She was the Marvel,
nature's creation.
It was a delight,
to watch her expressions.
I lost myself right there!
It was love at first sight
and I couldn't believe
it just happened.
The thing
that I always denied
and questioned its existence.
That very day,
I told my friend.
Love is just a word,
nothing truth
and can be a curse.
And then I saw her,
enchanted by her beauty.
My heart wanted to
talk to her.
And I felt, without her
it would be empty.
I was so lost in my thoughts,
thinking how should I start.
And then I got shocked.
She hugged someone
and stepped in a car.
And undoubtedly
that gave my heart a scar.
She had a smile on her face.
a contentment of belonging.
She was waiting for someone,
and that was surely not me.
My heart just broke.
within a few seconds.
I couldn't believe
what just happened.
The love, that I finally found,
I lost in a few seconds.
With that broken heart,
I told myself.
Love is just a word,
And I should stay away from it,
because for me...it's a curse:'( .
